Endurance: Gillese de Villiers

Gillese uses GCS-MAX for the protection of her horses joints and Eq-Fuel for stamina. She has also started using Omepracote for pre-travel and during competition.
A study has shown that 67% of competitive endurance horses suffer from gastric ulceration, which has a negative effect on performance. By blocking gastric acid production and removing the pain associated with gastric ulcers during travel and competition these horses are able to perform to their full potential.

Gillese’s two senior horses have a done exceptionally well over the past season.
Crypton was placed 3rd at Louise Botha 160km ride and was awarded Best Conditioned horse for the distance as well as the Best of the Best Trophy. He also won the 80km ride at Moorreesburg in a dramatic sprint finish, again receiving BC, Best of the Best and fastest Purebred Arabian! The mare, Kyte, did a FEI*** 160km ride, 2 x120km rides and 2 X 80kms all in top 5 positions. Gillese has qualified on Crypton and Kyte for the World Endurance Championships to be held in Eusten Park, Newmarket during August 2012.
